Scientists of Imagination have announced the purchase of diegomadeit.com, a new domain that will show Diego's meteoric rise to Made It Land in the film L.A. Allegory.

Editing on the project continues, with 2010 promising to be a great year for the project.

More to come as the first quarter of 2010 wages on.

Mike Smith, The Intelligent Actor

As we were deciding on the look for Diego in LA Allegory, Mike Smith sent us some pics of him playing in a very popular show in New York. For some reason, the wig effect caught on and became insanely popular with Director Brandon Blomquist.

In the middle of production meetings for the movie, I would hear about this magical wig, and sure enough the "wig look" became a basis for Diego's early character design.

Actors that actually act on stage usually contribute more to a movie production -- we were lucky to be working with Mike Smith in that he brings more to the table than any regular actor does. Instead of just acting, he brings a full knowledge of costume, make-up, and historical relevance of role that resonates through the crew, and ultimately, through the screen.

When you are putting a movie together, one of the best things you can do for yourself is create storyboards. This gets people on the same page very quickly. We went to set everyday knowing exactly what we were going to shoot, and a lot of that credit goes to having storyboards.

When shots are drawn out before time, this saves you from having long winded conversations on set that will slow down and drive your production into the ground.

Maxomillion Solaris: Notes from the Producer

If you were to ask me just what the hell we thought we were thinking when we set out to make LA Allegory, I would have told you we probably weren't thinking about much except making a feature length movie in Los Angeles.

Most of the short films I had done in New York never reached feature length, so when Director Brandon Blomquist told me one day that he had an idea for a feature, the only thing I could think of was to make the thing.

And that is what is happening. Over the next few months, we will be rolling out spotlights on the crew, post production notes, never-before-seen storyboards and photos, and much much more.

If you are in New York or Los Angeles, there is a good chance you might be seeing a sneak preview of the movie by this fall.
